ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The information brochure along with the application form of admission can be obtained from the study centre, regional office, Head Quarter on payment of Rs. Or though post by sending a written request accompanied with a required bank challan.
Submission of Application Form for Admission:
Duly completed application form for admission along with fees as indicated against each course payable to the Registrar, PSSOU should be sent by post of submitted in person to the respective Regional Director/Asst Coordinator of the study centre on or before the date notified.
Student may apply for admission in next class within one month after issue of the mark sheet along with application form and deposited challan copy. The application form should reach the regional centre/study centre within time limit given by the university.
Enclose following certificate along with the application form for admission
1. Mark sheet: Xerox copies of mark sheet dully attested of qualifying/last attended examination
2. Photograph: Two recent passport size photographs
3.Envelopes: One self address envelopes, duly stamped should be enclosed with the application form.
The study centres should send the daily filled application form for admission to the H.Q. with 10 days of last date of submission of form.
The students will have to bring their original documents for verification of required document and eligibility condition. For example original marks sheet of qualifying/last attended examination, original certificates, original cast certificate etc. verifying the original documents and eligibility produced by the student the respective regional centre/study centre will confirm admission to the student.
The students fulfilling the eligibility criteria will get confirmed admission in the academic programme of the university opted by him/her only if there are at least 10 students at the PG level and at least 20 students at the UG/Diploma level enrolled in the academic programme opted at the respective regional/study centre chosen by him/her. Admissions are provisional, subject to verification of required document and eligibility condition. The university reserves the right to implement any one paper or group where choice is given.
General Instruction:
Admission: The academic calendar of the university can be seen at university office. The list of candidate selected for admission will be displayed at the regional/study centre. Admission is open to all those who possesses minimum qualification. Admissions are provisional, subject to verification of required document and eligibility condition and the no. of student enrolled in the academic programme at the respective regional/study centre chosen by him/her.
Rejection of Application Form:
The application form will be rejected due to any of the following reasons.
1. The candidate does not fulfil the eligibility conditions.
2. PSSOU does not recognize the qualifying examination of the student
3. Any other reasons decided by the university in time to time.
Registration Number:
University will assign provisional registration to the student when they get registered. The provision at admission/registration number shall be confirmed after verification and submission of all the necessary documents/fees etc. Any communication without the registration number will not be entertained.
Identity Card:
Student will be issued an Identify card by the university. Students are advised to keep I-card safely till the completion of the course. Students will have to produce I-card at the time of Counselling/Contact classes and examination etc. as and when asked to do so by the authorities. If the Original I Card is lost, a duplicate card can be obtained from the university on payment of prescribed fees.
